Little Steven Van Zandt has been a long-time advocate of The Rascals, and now he’s trying to get fans to help him fund a reunion of the original lineup — keyboardist/singer Felix Cavaliere, singer Eddie Brigati, guitarist Gene Cornish and drummer Dino Danelli. They have not performed in public in over four decades. Van Zandt is hoping to raise $100,000 on Kickstarter within the next 30 days.

Space Shuttle Endeavour’s arrival to L.A. has been delayed one more day due to bad weather.
Led Zeppelin has apparently been counting down to some kind of big announcement via a series of posts on their official Facebook page that feature images of numbers (counting down from five to one) and a few cryptic video clips. The countdown started over the weekend, and hit “1″ yesterday, leading fans to have high hopes for some big news today.

Last night, the popular music competition The Voice opened its new season with all four celebrity judges (Adam Levine of Maroon 5, CeeLo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton) performing a version of The Rolling Stones’ classic, “Start Me Up.” (For a full recap of the show, go here.) It’s the latest example of the song’s enduring popularity.

Young has famously resisted leaning too much on his greatest hits when he tours. While he generally plays a couple of his well known songs, he has never been tethered to any song in particular when he performs. And when he has new material, he’s generally pretty enthused about it. But so far, just one Americana song has made the setlist: “Jesus’ Chariot.”
