Sotheby’s auction house in New York City is currently holding an epic gallery auction, called A Rock & Roll Anthology: From Folk to Fury, featuring, as they call it, ‘a kaleidoscopic survey of the history of rock & roll, pop, folk, and punk.’
The gallery showing and accompanying auction features memorabilia from The Beatles, the Eagles, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Led Zeppelin, the Beach Boys and countless rare and one of a kind Rock & Roll artifacts.
A highlight of the sale is John Lennon’s John Broadwood & Sons upright piano, on which he composed songs like “A Day in the Life,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” and many others.
