Lisa Loves Showbiz: Kanye West Hospitalized For ‘Psychotic Emergency’

The Kardashian Curse is in full effect. Yesterday, Kanye West was placed on a 5150 hold and hospitalized after a series of bizarre rants on stage that even Snoop Dogg took notice of.

West has cancelled the rest of his tour and offered everyone who bought tickets a full refund. The singer is currently at UCLA under observation and is reportedly suffering from exhaustion and sleep deprivation.

It all went down yesterday at 1:20 PM while West was at his trainers house in West Hollywood. His own personal doctor was the one who called 911 according to TMZ. Dr. Farzam called saying his patients name was Jim Jones, 39 years old, 5’8 and 175 pounds. He told the operator, “The patient is suffering a temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.” He also reportedly told Police that West “had attempted to assault a staff member at the gym.”

West was handcuffed to the gurney (which they say is protocol when transferring a psych patient) and transferred to UCLA. The fire department classified the case as a “medical emergency”.  According to TMZ, West has been working around the clock on both his own fashion line as well as the Adidas line.

A source close to West told People Magazine that “Kanye feels like he’s under a spiritual attack.” The source went on to say, “You might think it’s about Kim’s robbery and while that didn’t help, it’s not what’s going on” and that “He’s dealing with a lot more subtle issues.” The source also mentioned that November is always a painful time for the artist because it’s the same month that he lost his mom back in 2007.

Kim Kardashian West was already on her way to New York to make her first public appearance since the Paris robbery, but as soon as she heard the news, she headed right back to LA, skipping the comeback event. No word yet when West will be released and sent home, but usually these 5150’s stay in place for 72 hours.
