Donate Your Halloween Candy To The Troops With Operation Gratitude

By Sarah Carroll

Now that Halloween as come and gone, there’s probably a mountain of candy sitting in your kitchen.

There’s no way you or your kids can eat it all, but it seems like a waste to throw it away.

Operation Gratitude has the solution. Use your leftovers as an excuse to teach your friends and family the value in giving back to the brave men and women defending our country.

You can send your extra trick-or-treating loot to troops stationed overseas via Operation Gratitude. The organization donates more than 100,000 care packages each year to service men and women, their children waiting for them back home, wounded warriors, veterans, and first responders.

Go to OperationGratitude.com to take a look at the guidelines. Donations must be received no later than November 15 at the following address:

Operation Gratitude
21100 Lassen Street
Chatsworth, CA 91311
Attn: Angel Cuevas/Receiving (818)469-0448
