Anonymous $8K In Cash Slipped Into Pasadena Humane Society Donation Box

PASADENA (CBSLA.com— An animal lover slipped an extra generous donation to the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA this week.

Staff noticed the large cash donation, in the form of a pile of crisp new $20 bills, at about 11 a.m. Wednesday in a donation box at the organization’s Neely Cat Center on Raymond Avenue, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

“This was a wonderful surprise,” she said. “The donation is going to really help us.”

The philanthropist didn’t stick around to accept any accolades, she said.

Holeman said the shelter takes in 12,000 animals every year.
