Bruce Springsteen Takes a Dig at Donald Trump

By Amanda Wicks

Bruce Springsteen performed in Pittsburgh on 9/11, and before launching into a rare live cover of “Long Walk Home” he showed off a present he received from a fan earlier in the evening.

“Well somebody gave me a copy of the Constitution of the United States,” he told the crowd. “It does say ‘F— Trump’ on the front of it.” He chuckled, while the crowd roared in approval, before he began playing again. He dedicated his acoustic version of “Long Walk Home” to the person who gave him the choice gift.

Earlier in the evening, Springsteen and the E Street Band started off their set by performing a medley of songs dedicated to the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Accompanied by strings, Springsteen began with “New York City Serenade,” followed by his song about first responders, “Into the Fire,” and ended with “You’re Missing,” a song he hasn’t played since 2003 (via Billboard).

A fan in the audience captured the moment preceding “Long Walk Home.” Watch the clip on Radio.com.
