Lou Pearlman, the recently deceased impresario behind NSYNC, the Backstreet Boys, Aaron Carter and other teen pop acts, will soon be immortalized in a motion picture biopic that depicts his rise and fall.

Pearlman died in jail last month while serving time for fraud, a charge he was repeatedly accused of during his career in music. His participation in a Ponzi scheme ultimately landed Pearlman behind bars, but the businessman faced and settled cases with most acts he managed over lost and withheld earnings.

Last month some of Pearlman’s former protégés reacted to his death with mixed feelings. It’s not clear which pop performers will be featured as characters in the story of his life, but writers and producers have many options. John Stamos will executive produce the movie.
