So maybe Ryan Lochte is not such a liar after all.
While he does admit he did exaggerate what happened in Rio, and that police did not pull him over in a taxi and point a gun at his forehead, tt appears that at least part of his story seems to be holding up.
USA Today has just finished an in depth investigation and it appears to support Lochte and his team mates claims that they did not vandalize that gas station bathroom in Rio. A USA Today photographer who went to Rio to take pictures of the bathroom says the soap dispensers and mirrors have been there for a while, not so new as the Rio police said.
And another claim by Rio Police that the bathroom door was busted down turns out not to be true either. New security videos proves the swimmers never went in that bathroom.
Lochte as you know lost his major endorsement deals after the incident, but he has picked up gigs with two smaller companies. One is Robocop, a company that makes personal security devices, and you will soon see him kick up his heels on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ which starts September 12th.
