Calorie Counts Are Coming To Beer Labels

By Crystal Zahler

For better (or worse) a change is coming that will make it so you know how many calories per beer you’re actually putting into your body.

According to Gothamist, Anheuser-Busch, MillerCoors, HeinekenUSA, Constellation Brands Beer Division and other companies have decided to put “specific consumer information” onto cans and bottles.

So now over 81% of the beer market will have labels telling you how many empty calories your consuming! Awesome.

Of course, it only matters to those of us that actually read the nutrition labels on them. Up-side, it isn’t expected to take effect until 2020. So guzzle down that beer before it actually counts!
