Renee Zellweger has had enough of rumors she has had plastic surgery and Friday she wrote a scathing op-ed hitting back at those rampant rumors that she has gone under the knife.
Renee says, “We can do better. Not that it’s anyone’s business, but I did not make a decision to alter my face and have surgery on my eyes.”
At one time Renee was happy that folks thought she looked different, even telling People Magazine awhile back that she was glad people noticed she was looking different, but credited it to living a different, happy fulfilling life.
The ‘Bridget Jones’ star says at first “it didn’t matter” what people thought, but it does now says Zellweger.
For a long time she wrote she didn’t feel inclined to comment on the “humiliating tabloid stories,” but now she says she felt compelled to speak out because of our “current culture,” saying her non response made her seem “a suspicious character.”
Renee went on to say she did not write this op-ed because she felt bullied or pressured into it, but rather, because she, “must make some claim on the truths of her life” and finally she concludes with calling herself “lucky” and saying, “Maybe we could talk more about our many true societal challenges and how we can do better.”
