RUNYON CANYON (CBSLA.com) — Hikers can rejoice. The popular hiking area, Runyon Canyon Park, in Hollywood Hills reopens early Tuesday morning after being closed for four months.
The park was shut down while crews replaced an 90-year-old, 6-inch water main that snakes through the canyon for about a mile.
They also added fire hydrants, restored and paved the fire road, added drinking fountains and cleaned up the park.
