Lisa Loves Showbiz: Selena Gomez’s Social Media Posts Are Worth $550,000 Each

Selena Gomez, Disney’s darling, has had a few number one hits on Billboard, and now we hear she is also number one at making bank on social media.

Get this, every time Selena posts on her social media accounts she gets $550,000.

According to a data company, the 23-year-old pop princess is the queen bee of social media buzz and with more than 180 million fans across social media platforms, Selena has taken the number one spot as the most influential media mogul, surpassing Kendall and Kylie Jenner as well as Rhianna and Beyonce.

Last year Selena only earned $300,000 per post, but after her 90 million followers made her picture holding a coke and sipping through a straw the most liked picture in Instagram’s history, she now gets over a half million per post. That picture got 46 million likes.

And no signs of slowing down for Selena.  She is now averaging 200,000 new followers a day.

And speaking of making money my Matt “off the precious meter” Damon may have made one million dollars per line in Jason Bourne. According to Damon he has about 25 lines in the movie, which breaks down to a million a line. Back in 2007 Damon earned $26 million for the Bourne Ultimatum, was paid $25 million for The Martian so we can assume that Universal had to shell out at least $25 million to woo Matt back, making his pay one million per line.

As for why so little dialogue, Damon says, “Most action films dialogue not exactly a priority,” and he says the low line count did not bother him, he enjoys the challenge of expressive acting.
