Actress Blake Lively is feeling the burn this morning and I am not talking about Bernie Sanders.
Lively posted a picture on her on Instagram, side by side, front and back of her on the red carpet in Cannes where she was promoting her new film Café Society.
Lively captioned the picture with this “LA face with an Oakland booty,” which is a line from Rapper Sir-Mix-A lot’s 1992 hit, “Baby got back.”
Well some people took umbrage with that post, which by the way has received over 600,000 likes. But the people who did not like her post said that it was racially insensitive. One post said “Blake Lively doesn’t have an Oakland booty, she doesn’t even have a Rancho Cucamunga Booty.”
Some people actually brought up her wedding to Ryan Reynolds, which was at Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina which used to employ slaves before Civil War.
Another one writes, “Another day, another rich white women using WOC’s bodies as a punchline and commodity, as if Blake Lively wasn’t the worst already.”
Blake has kept quiet not offering an apology or further elaboration on the caption and she has not taken the photo down.
