Gary Glitter Found Guilty of Child Sex Crimes

British glam-rock pioneer Gary Glitter, famous for his string of hits in the early 1970s including “Do You Wanna Touch Me” and perennial jock jam favorite “Rock and Roll (Parts 1 and 2),” has been convicted for sex crimes against minors during his chart-topping heyday.

According to USA Today, Glitter (real name Paul Gadd) was found guilty in a London court of one count of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.

The charge of sex with a minor could result in a life sentence for the singer.
