Well, we’ve been following all the drama with the contract negotiations for the cast of the CBS hit comedy The Big Bang Theory, and now it seems they have finally reached a deal. After delaying production while finalizing contract deals, the stars of the #1 comedy have walked away with a major pay raise going into season 8 of the show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar will be bumped up to nearly $1 million each per episode, a big raise from their current earnings at $335,000 per episode. In addition, they’ll receive a bigger cut of syndication earnings on TBS, notes EW.
This paycheck is similar to the record-setting deal the cast of Friends made in its final seasons. CBS has renewed Big Bang for three more seasons, with season 8 set to premiere Sept. 22.
