He can act, he can sing and he can rock out with the best of them; Johnny Depp is proving to be quite the rock star after making a surprise appearance on stage with rock legends Aerosmith Wednesday night at Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Mass.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Depp jammed on the Aerosmith track “Train Kept A Rollin'” strumming on his guitar beside Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and company. Depp previously appeared on stage for the same song during the band’s concert at The Hollywood Bowl in August 2012.
Taking a page out of the grunge look book, Depp wore ripped jeans, a black shirt with a long-sleeve button up tied around his waist and a black hat as he traded riffs with Perry. He even gets to show off his masterful skills on the six-string with a mini-solo at the end of the song. Really, is there anything Johnny Depp can’t do?
Aerosmith come to LA’s Fabulous Forum on July 30th, but the chances of LA getting a similar appearance from Depp are pretty slim. Depp is currently filming Black Mass, playing the criminal mastermind Whitey Bulger, in Boston.
But thankfully, we can all bask in Depp’s rock stardom vicariously through our computer screens with this amateur video of his performance:
