‘Big Bang Theory’ Cast Seeking $1 Million Pay Day
If you are a Big Bang Theory fan (and these days, who isn’t?) listen up – production for the next season of #1 show on TV could be delayed due to contract negotiations.
Reportedly, the cast of the hit CBS show is demanding a massive pay raise; the contracts of the original five cast members Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar are all expired and are currently in re-negotiation with Warner Bros. TV.
Deadline reports Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco-Sweeting, who each made $350,000 per episode last season, could earn a $1 million pay check for season 8. Now, that’s getting into Friends territory.
Production for season 8 of the show is slated to start on July 30th, but if the two sides can’t agree on a deal, the show could be delayed. The one-hour season premiere of Big Bang is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 22.
