Throwback Thursday: Gary & Lisa Salute The Year 1989

Happy Throwback Thursday! This morning, Gary and Lisa are saluting the year 1989 by remembering the biggest songs and events that occurred that year.

So what all happened in the year 1989? Let’s refresh your memory.

This was the year we met Steve Urkle on Family Matters and his catch-phrase “did I do that?” spread like wildfire. The movies Field of Dreams and Honey, I Shrunk The Kids were huge hits at the box office, and the songs “Wild Thing” by Tone Loc, “Every Rose Has Its Thorns” by Poison, “She Drives Me Crazy” by Fine Young Cannibals” were blowing up the charts.

Listen to more music and memories from the year 1989 in the clip below.

Gary Bryan also shared his throwback photo when he met singer Michael Bolton – when his long, curly hair was in full mullet effect. Ah, the ’80s.
