Go Kings Go! The Los Angeles Kings defeated the New York Rangers 3-0 Tuesday to take a 3-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals. Now just one win away from another Stanley Cup Championship, Kings fever is sweeping over the City of Angels, but what is it like being a Kings fan in New York?
Well, one former LA radio DJ gave us a first hand look at the hardships Kings fans face in Ranger territory.
Former LA DJ Poorman went to the game last night proudly sporting his Kings jersey in a sea blue and red at Madison Square Garden, and needless to say, the reaction wasn’t pretty.
After the first period, Poorman walked through the crowds of Ranger fans to grab a beer and kept his camera on to catch their reactions to his jersey. Poorman got a very New York welcome from fans, who cursed, flipped the bird and more as he bravely (or stupidly some may say) walked through the brutal crowds.
Like Poorman says, “It is not pretty being a Kings fan at the Garden.” Listen to the reactions below!
