One half of the ’90s rock band Nelson with twin brother Gunnar, Matthew Nelson joined The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show to talk about their exciting show coming up at the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Fest.

Nelson is known for their huge rock hits in the early ’90s including the No. 1 hit “(Can’t Live Without Your) Love And Affection,” “After The Rain,” “More Than Ever” and more. They join the bill with two other great rock acts, Gin Blossoms and 3 Doors Down, and Matthew tells us fans can expect tons of great music while taking in the scenery in “the most beautiful part of the country.”

“I’m actually really pumped to play with the Gin Blossoms and 3 Doors Down,” he said. “I’m just really looking forward to going and being in California, my home state, with some great bands…it’s fun for everyone to come down and see this thing.”

Nelson performs Friday and Saturday, May 31, 4 p.m., at the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival. Gin Blossoms follow at 6:30 and 3 Doors Down after. Tickets are free with festival admission. The festival is located at 37701 Warren Road. Visit TVBWF.com for more information.

The sons of rock legend Ricky Nelson, Matthew and Gunnar keep their father’s memory alive with a tribute show to his music called Ricky Nelson Remembered. Matthew tells us that they have plans to reboot the show later this year. He also hints at some surprises of their own music coming out later this year.
