One of the stars of FX’s Sons of Anarchy, Emilio Rivera called in this morning to talk about his new movie role.
Emilio is breaking out from his role on TV in a big feature role in an Edward James Olmos presents, Water and Power, out today in limited release.
The story follows “twin brothers nicknamed ‘Water’ and ‘Power’ from the hard scrabble Eastside streets of Los Angeles rise like prince’s through the city’s political and police ranks to become players in a complex and dangerous web of the powerful and corrupt of Los Angeles.”
Though he plays a tough, intimidating character on the hit show, Emilio assures that he’s really “a nice guy” in real life. For many of his roles, Emilio is cast as the bad guy, but to him it never gets old.
“It’s the most fun character, because it’s almost like therapy. You’re having fun, you get to go out there and shoot somebody, you get shot,” he laughed.
Catch Emilio in Sons of Anarchy on FX and in the new film Water and Power in theaters today. Listen to our full interview with Emilio Rivera below.
