BIG news, Los Angelenos! Sir Paul McCartney is coming to Dodger Stadium this summer!
McCartney will be swinging into Dodger Stadium on August 10th as part of his “Out There” tour, he announced Friday, marking the first time there since The Beatles’ penultimate live gig on August 28, 1966. The addition of the L.A. date comes just one day after confirming he’d be bringing the ‘Out There’ tour to California with a farewell show to San Francisco’s Candlestick Park on Aug. 14th.
According to the press release, The ‘Out There’ tour “features music from the most beloved catalogue in popular music, as Paul performs songs spanning his entire career – as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course as a Beatle. The set list will also include material from Paul’s most recent studio album NEW, a global hit upon its release last year.”
McCartney currently has dates in Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Costa Rica, with a return to Japan and debut in Korea set for next month on the ‘Out There’ 2014 world tour. The U.S. leg of his tour kicks off June 14th at United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, TX and will wrap up in San Francisco.
