You loved her back in the 1993 and now you’ll get to love her all over again. Mrs. Doubtfire is coming back!
The Hollywood Reporter says Robin Williams and director Chris Columbus are attached to a sequel of the classic film that features Williams as a divorced father who cross dresses as a nanny just so he can spend more time with his children.
So many people were talking about the sequel in the works that it became a trending topic on Facebook this week. A sequel to the film has been talked about since 2001, but this is the first script that Robin Williams has liked.
We know that Williams is set to reprise his role, but what about co-stars Sally Field, Pierce Bronsan and breakout child actress Mara Wilson, who played one of the children? We’ll have to wait and see who else signs on to the film.
Mrs. Doubtfire was a huge hit at the box office, grossing more than $441 million worldwide, reports The Wrap.
