According to a new survey by CareerCast.com, Lumberjacks rank at the top of the absolute worst jobs in the U.S. in the site’s annual ranking of 200 different professions.
Not only do they say being a lumberjack is the worst, going nowhere job, it’s also extremely dangerous and underpaid. Coming in second to lumberjacks on the worst job list? Newspaper reporters.
Others on the top 10 worst professions include prison guard, military personnel, broadcaster, garbage collector, firefighter and taxi-driver. All jobs on the list includes the median salary paid, projected job growth between now and 2022 and a summery of why it’s made it on the list of the most loathsome jobs in the country.
So this morning, we turned the topic to K-EARTH 101 listeners to see if they could top any of the worst professions on the list with their worst jobs they’ve ever had.
The listener who is deemed having the worst of the worst jobs by our judges Gary and Lisa will win a pair of tickets to see The Fixx and Dramarama at Saban Theatre on April 24th! Call up the morning show at 1-800-232-KRTH and tell Gary & Lisa your worst job for a chance to win!
