Famous Friend Contest: Listeners Have Their Famous Friends Call In To Win Aerosmith Tickets
This morning, Gary Bryan came up with an ingenious way to give away those hot item tickets to see Aerosmith and Slash at The Forum. Gary held a ‘Famous Friend Contest’ and asked listeners who know someone famous to have that celebrity or well-known personality to call in on their behalf. The person who sends in the most famous friend wins those tickets!
So far, we’ve had one listener get her famous friend call in to the show. That friend happens to be Prescott Niles, the bassist for The Knack, who had a hit No.1 single “My Sharona” in 1979.
Prescott called in for his good friend Mary and her daughter Mia to score them tickets to see Aerosmith and Slash at The Forum! Listen to his call below.
Update: Now the calls are rolling in! Actor Danny Trejo called in for his friend Mary:
Howard Scott from War called in for his good friend and Butch Patrick aka Eddie Munster from The Munsters called in for his brother:
Tony Borowiak from the hit R&B group All-4-One called in for his buddy Travis with the ENTIRE group on the line. Listen to them sing a little for us.
Do you know someone famous? Have them call in to The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show at 1-800-232-KRTH for a chance to score tickets to see Aerosmith at The Forum. The caller who has the most famous friend will be determined in the 9am hour.
