Barbara Walters Reveals Her Last Day On ‘The View’

There’s a big announcement from Barbara Walters – the 84-year-old TV veteran revealed when her last day as co-host on The View on Monday.

Walters announced that she’ll be stepping down on May 16th, saying “it feels right for me to go. I love the show, I love what we’ve done. It will continue without me.”

During her 53 year career, Walters interviewed many world leaders including every president since Nixon. On May 16th, ABC will hold a day-long retirement celebration that includes renaming the ABC headquarters the ‘Barbara Walters Building.’

Walters will continue working off camera as executive producer of The View and work for ABC as news warrants.
