“You better believe it baby! I’m ready to go!”
This was the exciting greeting our own Shotgun Tom Kelly gave when he joined us on the phone this morning to make a very exciting announcement about his return to the airwaves. For the past four weeks, Shotgun has been recovering and resting at home after undergoing a quadruple bypass surgery in March, but the Shots is ready to make his comeback on the big 101!
“I’m coming home this Thursday!” revealed Shotgun, who sounded in great spirits this morning.
Our very own Hollywood Walk of Famer will return to the airwaves this Thursday, April 10th at 3pm to drive listeners home in their ‘automobubbles’.
We all know that he has a very high energy level while on air, but Shotgun assures that he got the okay to return to the airwaves from his doctors and surgeons. And Shots himself is raring to go and get back behind the mic.
“That’s my comfort level. That’s where I feel most comfortable is by having a good time on the radio and making people feel good, because if I’m making people feel good, I’m feeling good myself!” he noted.
This morning we took a listener poll of what the first song Shotgun Tom should play when he returns to K-EARTH 101. He told us this morning what that song will be.
“Huey Lewis And The News, ‘The Heart Of Rock And Roll’!” he said. “It’s got that nice big, healthy heartbeat in it.”
We can’t wait until Shotgun Tom Kelly makes his return on K-EARTH 101, and we hope you join us in welcoming him back this Thursday at 3pm!
