Already a bestselling author with his 2011 memoir Life, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has even more life lessons to share, this time through an illustrated children’s book due out this September.

Gus & Me: The Story Of My Grandad And My First Guitar details Richards’ first introduction to music by his grandfather, Theodore Augustus Dupree, who played in a jazz big band, reports The L.A. Times.

“I have just become a grandfather for the fifth time, so I know what I’m talking about,” said Richards in a statement. “The bond, the special bond, between kids and grandparents is unique and should be treasured. This is a story of one of those magical moments. May I be as great a grandfather as Gus was to me.”

Richards, who has five children, is keeping this story in the family by collaborating with his daughter, Theodora, who will draw the accompanying illustrations to the story. Theodora, Richards’ daughter with wife Patti Hansen, is named after her great-grandfather who’s highlighted in the book.

“To be able to explore my father’s relationship with his grandfather was a gift in itself,” she added in the same statement. “The things that I’ve learnt during this whole process have just been life affirming.”

Gus & Me will be available on Sept. 9th as both a hardcover and e-book version. The hardcover edition will also be packaged with a CD of bonus content.
