Alec Baldwin’s Role On ‘Law & Order’ Revealed

You may remember the other day when Alec Baldwin made headlines after going on a huge tirade about hating New York, wanting to leave the spotlight and his disdain for the press. Well now, after new revelations about Baldwin’s upcoming role on Law & Order: SVU, his outspoken rants seem pretty ironic considering he’ll be portraying a character who works in the media.

Baldwin will play, “Jimmy MacArthur, a “controversial” New York newspaper columnist who questions the SVU squad’s motives during an investigation,” according to E! Online. Katie Couric will also make a cameo as herself in the episode and interview Baldwin’s character.

The episode, “Criminal Stories,” will be directed by Law & Order star Mariska Hargitay and is set to air on Wednesday, March 19 at 9 p.m.
