Neil Young is working on the follow-up book to his memoirs Waging Heavy Peace. A press release from publisher Blue Rider promises “More unforgettable stories about his six decades in the music business as told through the prism of one of his life’s passions: cars.”
Young will discuss the various cars he’s owned throughout his life and the stories associated with them. The book will also focus on his dedication to clean energy and his recent awareness of the environmental impact the emissions that his past cars had on the environment.
The book, as yet untitled, will also be illustrated with original sketches and tracings by Young.
This year looks to be a busy for Young. He also has a new album, A Letter Home, due in March on Jack White’s Third Man Records. In January, he played a string of solo acoustic dates at New York’s Carnegie Hall, followed by a few more across Canada; he has three more solo shows booked for L.A.’s Dolby Theatre in late March. Meanwhile, Young and his long time backing band, Crazy Horse have some shows on their schedule in July.
