There’s a big shakeup happening at CNN. After three years of taking over the 9 p.m. primetime slot once held by longtime host Larry King fro 25 years, the network confirms Piers Morgan Live is ending.
After struggling with ratings over the three rocky years, Piers Morgan is stepping down from the news show, tweeting on Monday, “Humbling to bring such happiness to so many people today. Coming 3rd, as I’ve always said, is not a trophy. #MorganOut #CNN.”
With the news of Piers Morgan Live coming to an end, Larry King, who now hosts a late night talk show on Ora TV, voiced that if the opportunity is right, that he’d step back into his signature role on CNN.
“If he talked to the people at Ora TV and they could work it out, I would do it,” he told the Daily Beast’s Lloyd Grove.
