LA Metro Hosting Valentine’s Day ‘Speed Dating On The Red Line’

Are you without a special someone this Valentine’s Day? Maybe you should try your luck at love underground.

The Los Angeles Metro is hosting a unique way for riders to find love this Valentine’s Day with a lunchtime ‘Speed Dating On The Red Line’ event at seven stations on Friday.

According to CBS LA, “Metro staff will be available to register speed daters from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the following stations: Union Station, Civic Center/Grand Park, 7th Street/Metro, Wilshire/Vermont, Vermont/Santa Monica, Hollywood/Highland and North Hollywood.”

So how does it work? Participating riders will receive a wristband and be given instructions upon entering the specially decorated trains, which will be the last cars on trains headed to North Hollywood and the first cars on trains headed to Union Station.

Who knows – maybe you’ll walk away with a great story to tell your kids someday.

“If you’re one of those who thinks that it would be a great story to tell your grandkids that you met your future husband or wife on a train, then this is the event to go to,” Metro spokesperson Anna Chen told CBS LA.
