KISS are still trying to milk their pasty white faces on the television screen and have recently inked a deal with cable network AMC for a “reality show” about the first season of their Los Angeles-area football team, Los Angeles KISS.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the unscripted show will feature 10 episodes and include Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Simmons, who starred in a reality show called Family Jewels for seven seasons, really knows how to play it up to the cameras, so this should be interesting.
Stanley said in a press conference that they are “thrilled” to showcase their “trails and tribulations” to the viewing public.
“Anyone who knows Gene and I knows we have never played by the rules,” explained Stanley. “This opportunity to see the making of our team of rebels, the LA KISS, from behind the scenes will once again show everyone that we play to win.”
“These are incredibly dedicated athletes, coaches and management who want to win, and the fact that the team has rock and roll royalty in the owners box just adds another great dimension to the series,” sid AMC Senior VP of Unscripted Programming, Eliot Goldberg.
