Thursday night marks the final farewell of Tonight Show host Jay Leno, whose held the coveted late night position (almost) continuously since 1992.

In his 22 years as Tonight Show host, Leno has hosted over 4,600 shows and told more than 43,000 monologue jokes over his esteemed career. Now one study has revealed who Leno’s top targets in his jokes were over the years.

According to L.A. Times, the Center for Media and Public Affairs at George Mason University sifted through roughly 43,892 jokes Leno told between May 25, 1992 and Jan. 24, 2014 to discover that Leno told the most jokes about former President Bill Clinton.

Clinton was elected as president about six months after Leno started his Tonight Show gig, and quickly became Leno’s prime target during his monologues with a total of 4,607 jokes made about him. George W. Bush came in second with a total of 3,239 jokes told at his expense and Al Gore came in third with 1,026 jokes told about him. Other political targets Leno joked about included Barack Obama with 1,011 jokes and Hillary Clinton with 939 jokes.

As far as celebrities go, OJ Simpson topped the list with 795 jokes made about him during his high-profile scandal. Other celebrities that were frequently the butt of Leno’s jokes included Michael Jackson, Martha Stewart, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Robert Blake, Justin Bieber and more.

Jay Leno signs off with his very last monologue tonight (Feb. 6) for his last show as Tonight Show host.
