It seems as though many top artists are setting up shop in Sin City for show residencies these days, and now Grease star Olivia Newton-John will join the ranks of such top-selling acts like Elton John, Donny Marie and Rod Stewart.
John announced Tuesday that she’s headed to Las Vegas for a headlining residency beginning April 8th, according to CBS News. The 65-year-old singer will perform 45 shows at the Donny and Marie showroom at The Flamingo throughout the summer.
“I am thrilled to be able to call Las Vegas home for a while,” Olivia said in a statement via Yahoo. “I have performed here many times through the years and have had nothing but wonderful memories and I look forward to even more fun at the Flamingo. I am especially thrilled that a portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre.”
Her show titled ‘Summer Nights’ will feature all the fan-favorite Grease hits including “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “You’re the One That I Want,” as well as her pop hits like “Physical” and “Honestly, I Love You.”
Tickets for Olivia Newton-John’s Summer Nights at the Flamingo go on-sale Friday, Feb. 7 starting at $69. For more details visit www.flamingolasvegas.com.
