Former CNN host Larry King is offering up some advice to his old network: they should air Spongebob Squarepants.
In an interview with Huffington Post Live on Wednesday, King opened up about leaving his longtime post on the network saying he had “mixed feelings” about leaving.
He also weighed in on the network’s recent struggle with TV ratings, saying that the network has “problems.” He jokingly suggested that the 24 hour news network should play cartoons until a big story breaks to boost their ratings.
“Put ‘Spongebob’ on CNN– 24 hours– until a big story breaks. Then we break into ‘Spongebob,’ and go to the hurricane, and then back to ‘Spongebob,'” he joked.
