With a huge winter storm expected to hit New York area over Super Bowl weekend, organizers are preparing to possibly change the date of the big game between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks from its planned Feb. 2 date.
Already being dubbed “the biggest, boldest and coldest Super Bowl in TV history,” the NFL revealed earlier this week that Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey could be played anywhere from Friday, Jan. 31 to Monday, Feb. 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The current Super Bowl forecast predicts a chilly 40 degrees with a 30 percent chance of snow, but as many New Yorkers know, mother nature can be unpredictable with the weather.
