Art Garfunkel Announces Solo Tour Following Vocal Cord Issues

Art Garfunkel has just announced a small solo tour, which will mark his return to the stage four years after suffering vocal cord paresis that led to the cancellation of a Simon and Garfunkel reunion tour. Full dates after the jump.

In a press statement, Garfunkel said, “The voice is back. I’m in flight again. I believe I have grown through adversity. A new creation has emerged that is truly exciting me — my stage show.”

This isn’t his first attempt to return to the road: A string of solo dates in 2012 were cancelled due to lingering vocal cord issues. Garfunkel’s last shows with Paul Simon were in 2009 when the duo performed in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
