Did You Know: “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” By Creedence Clearwater Revival

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2 ‘ song is “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The 1970 hit charted at # 2.

It was partly written for John Fogerty’s son Josh who was 3 at the time. Fogerty said: “I knew he would love it if he heard me on the radio singing – doot doot doo, lookin’ out my back door.”

Some of the songs lyrics were inspired by a Dr. Seuss book that Fogerty read as a kid.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller # 7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win tickets to see the Doors tribute band Wild Child this Saturday at the Canyon Club.
