Paul McCartney has had a pretty good year with the release of his most recent album New, and he’s ending 2013 on a high note by ranking in the number one spot on Billboard‘s final ‘Hot Tours’ tally. The former Beatle earned the top spot with the final six shows of his ‘Out There’ tour in Japan, earning a whopping $40.6 million in ticket sales.

Billboard also reports that McCartney dominated the entire year in sales with reported grosses surpassing $105.8 million worldwide.

Rounding out the top three on the final Hot Tours recap are Kanye West coming in second with $25.2 million and Alejandro Fernandez earning $10.3 million. Justin Bieber, Muse, Alicia Keys, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Zac Brown Band, John Mayer and Eason Chan rounded out the top ten on the list.
