Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee. The holiday favorite was written by Johnny Marks, who also wrote “Holly Jolly Christmas” and “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

Brenda was just 13 when she recorded the song in 1958. Known as “Little Miss Dynamite,” she stood 4′ 9.” She recorded the song in July, the producer cranked the air conditioning on high to create a chill in the studio.

Even though the song was recorded in 1958, it wasn’t until 1960 for the song to become a Christmas Classic.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #7 to win a 4-pack of tickets to experience the joy of Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood. Call us up at 1-800-232-KRTH.(5784) Good Luck!
