Did You Know: “My Life” By Billy Joel

Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2’ song is “My Life” by the piano man himself, Billy Joel. It’s a song about asserting your independence, which was the theme of the 1980 television sitcom Bosom Buddies. Because of licensing issues, Joel’s version was sung by a soundalike singer.

The high harmonies in this one feature Chicago members at the time Peter Cetera and Donnie Dacus. This was Billy’s seventh Billboard Top-40 hit.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #7 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win a pair of tickets┬áto see Tower of Power ‘live’ in concert Thursday December 19th at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino.
