Bon Jovi Returns To The Charts Thanks To Viral Video

Thanks to an impassioned viral video of a Celtics fan lip-synching to “Livin’ On A Prayer” in Boston’s TD Garden, Bon Jovi’s 1986 No. 1 hit has returned to the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 25.

Even though it’s been 26 years since the song topped the charts for four weeks, the viral clip of fan Jeremy Fry performing an intense air-guitar while mouthing the words to the song down the stands helped bring the anthem back to the forefront. The video has been around on the web for a few years, but a recent posting to the site helped it go viral last week.

The video has racked up more than 12 million views this month and boosted the song to over 5.1 million streams in the U.S. just last week, according to the Nielsen BDS. “Livin’ On A Prayer” also landed at No. 5 on the Streaming Songs chart and saw an 11 percent increase in downloads this week.

Re-watch the video below just for fun.
