Mark Wahlberg Slams Actors Who Compare Jobs To Being In Armed Forces
Mark Wahlberg is mad as H-E-double hockey sticks at some fellow actors who’ve compared acting to being in military combat.
While at AFI Fest Tuesday night to premiere his new movie Lone Survivor, Wahlberg lashed out in an expletive-filled speech against, we think, Tom Cruise for allegedly comparing his job to a tour in Afghanistan in a past interview.
Wahlberg was set off after being asked about his rigorous training for the film, and begins to slam Cruise, though he doesn’t drop any names in his rant.
“For actors to sit there and talk about ‘Oh, I went to SEAL training’? I don’t give a f–k what you did. You don’t do what these guys did. For somebody to sit there and say my job was as difficult as being in the military? How f–king dare you, while you sit in a makeup chair for two hours,” Wahlberg said according to E! News.
Two things to take from Wahlberg’s rant are, one, Cruise’s attorney has come out and said that Tom’s words were a distortion and have been taken out of context. And two, Wahlberg’s rep says that Mark loves Tom and was in no way referencing him.
