Angela Lansbury Not Happy About ‘Murder, She Wrote’ Reboot

Last month, we told you about a Murder She Wrote reboot starring Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer coming to NBC in the future.

Well, the original Jessica Fletcher, aka Angela Lansbury, has broken her silence on the idea of a reboot of the original show, calling it “a mistake.”

The 88-year-old actress spoke with the Montreal Gazette, telling them it’s a mistake for NBC to call the new reboot using the same name, “Murder, She Wrote.”

She explains that she’s a fan of Octavia Spencer and wishes her well, but is not happy that her original role will be reprised in a new series.

She went on to say that Murder, She Wrote was “the greatest doorway to the world” for her, professionally and otherwise, according to USA Today.
