This Monday, November 11th is Veteran’s Day and people all over the nation are giving thanks to past Veterans and current service members who put their lives on the line to protect our country.

To thank Vets for all that they’ve done, several special events in Los Angeles are taking place to honor members of the armed forces, plus several businesses are offering free meals and specials just for Vets and active duty members.

Take a look at some of the best events and deals to take advantage of this Veteran’s Day weekend.

This free event features patriotic music, speakers and moving tributes in honor of those who have served for our country. Golden Stars Skydiving Team will also make an appearance to stage an aerial performance with a full team of skydivers on hand.

This annual event features a parade complete with floats, military marchers, bands and more and follows it up with a post-parade street festival with a Craft and Vendors Fair plus ceremonies honoring those who fought.

Hooters, Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. Enjoy a free meal up to $10.99 in value with any drink purchase, by presenting a military ID or proof of service at any Hooters location across the country. More info.

Krispy Kreme, Nov. 11, 2013. Enjoy a free doughnut and small coffee at participating locations with proof of service or military ID. More info.
