Do you ever think to yourself that you work with a bunch of ‘psychos’? That notion has probably run through most of our minds at some point or another, but according to a new study there could be some truth behind it.

Time recently revealed the top ten professions that tend to draw the most psycho and sociopaths. The definition of ‘psychopath’ as Time points out doesn’t just mean a serial ax murderer terrorizing a small town, but deals more with personality disorders and emotions.

The term ‘psychopath’ is characterized as someone having “shallow emotions (in particular reduced fear), stress tolerance, lacking empathy, coldheartedness, lacking guilt, egocentricity, superficial character, manipulativeness, irresponsibility, impulsivity, and antisocial behaviors such as parasitic lifestyle and criminality,” according to Time.

So without further ado, here are the top ten professions that tend to draw the most ‘psychos,’ with (gulp) radio personalities ranking in the top three.

  1. CEO
  2. Lawyer
  3. Media (radio/TV personalty)
  4. Salesperson
  5. Surgeon
  6. Journalist
  7. Police officer
  8. Clergymen
  9. Chef
  10. Civil Servant
