Today’s ‘Tickets @ 2′ song is one of 1972’s best, “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love” by The Spinners.

It was written by Melvin Steals and Mervin Steals, who were sometimes called “Maestro and Lyric.” If The Spinners sound a little more like Motown than New York, that’s because they used to be signed with Motown Records. They changed their name to “The Detroit Spinners” after moving to Atlantic Records, later dropping the Detroit part of their name.

The song charted at # 4 on the Billboard music chart.

When we play it between two and three we’ll take caller #10 at 1-800-232-KRTH (5784) to win tickets to see Smokey Robinson at San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino on November 7th.
