With only a few days left leading up to our monster Halloween party, BOO-gie BASH, with KC and the Sunshine Band this Friday night at the Hollywood Palladium, some listeners might need a little inspiration to come up with last-minute costume ideas.
Here to help with suggestions of this year’s hottest Halloween costumes is Troy from Hollywood Toys and Costumes on Hollywood Blvd., who is graciously supplying costumes for our K-EARTH 101 DJs for the show.
We asked Troy what has been the hottest selling costumes this year, and it seems like the classics are still favorites.
“This year it’s been – for men – actually it’s been Ironman, Superman, Batman. Unitards [for men] is something new. Minons actually have been good this year and Star Wars has continued to hold strong,” said Troy.
However as Lisa points out, there’s one hot costume that Troy forgot that’s seen a huge spike in sales this Halloween, and that’s the fox.
“Yes, the fox costume has done very well after the Internet craze [“What Does The Fox Say?”],” said Troy. “I would say right now they’re probably the hottest.”
Well that settles that. For reference, here is the video of “What Does The Fox Say?” by Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis that inspired the surge of fox costumes for Halloween this year.
A special thank you to Troy and everyone over at Hollywood Toys and Costumes for outfitting our K-EARTH 101 personalities with costumes for BOO-gie BASH concert this Friday night at the Hollywood Palladium.
