Gwyneth Paltrow Trying To Stop Unflattering ‘Vanity Fair’ Profile From Running

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow has started a feud with Vanity Fair magazine after learning that they intended on publishing a cover story about her despite the fact she tried to sabotage the piece.

Editor Graydon Carter confirms he will run a story about Paltrow and says “she forced his hand,” reports Huffington Post.

Carter says that Paltrow was asked to collaborate on the piece, but declined. People close to her say she was concerned after Vanity Fair ran unflattering profiles on her celebrity friends Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt.

She reportedly tried to institute a gag order so no one in her inner circle would participate. Paltrow sent emails to family and friends saying “Vanity Fair is threatening to me me on the cover of their magazine with an unflattering story, so if you are asked for quotes or comments please decline.”

She went on to say “also I recommend that you all never do this magazine again.”

Part of the problem is Vanity Fair never grants picture or copy approval to its subjects and sources close to Paltrow say she is afraid. According to Page Six of the New York Post, Paltrow was allegedly having an affair back in 2008 with Miami billionaire Jeff Soffer, who is married to model Elle MaCpherson.
